• 7:20-7:25 Arrive and set up your space in the Bullpen
• 7:30 Volunteers check in
• 7:40 Warmups start
• 8:15 Timer Meeting
• 8:30 Meet Starts

It’s time for the River City Racers Conference Meet! This is the culmination of the kids’ hard work over the last several weeks. Rather than a dual meet, all the teams in the conference will come together and race at one time. This year, the event will be held at Rockwood Summit High School. Below are a few things to know that will help you prepare for the meet. The meet happens from 7:30-approximately 12:30pm on Saturday, July 11. Yes, it is a long morning, but we promise it is a lot of fun.

This is all-hands-on-deck for volunteers – literally! This meet cannot happen without all teams in the conference contributing volunteers. 

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

• There will not be a concession stand. Pack health snacks and fuel for the morning. Tom’s coffee truck will be on site.
• Ample parking is available in the school’s main lot. Walk the visible sidewalk from the parking lot past the track, and head into the doors for the gyms on the left of the sidewalk.
• Arrive no later than 7:25. The bullpen will be in the gym. All teams will have a designated area. Volunteer check-in is also in the gym, and volunteers must check-in at 7:30am.
• Please monitor your kids in the bullpen and make sure they line up in the staging area ON TIME. The more kids are on time, the faster the meet moves. Bullpen will not chase down kids – if they aren’t in line, they will miss their heat.
• Bring chairs. There are concrete bleachers inside the pool area, but it gets very warm and crowded in there. Bring chairs you can use in the hallways, and in the gym/bullpen.
• REMEMBER WE ARE GUESTS. Rockwood Summit has great facilities, and we need to keep them looking great. Treat the facilities with care, and remind your kids to be good citizens.
